An Environmental Initiative

We at Sagar ColorPac consider sustainability and environmental initiatives to be at the forefront of what we do on a daily basis.

Our screen printing department has taken a step to reduce wastage of a key component - the squeegee. Replacing a squeegee blade is often an environmentally wasteful practice.

To avoid this we have installed a sharpening device that can re-sharpen a used squeegee. Re-sharpening enhances the life of a squeegee thereby keeping it in production for longer resulting in lesser discards. A sharpener allows us to sharpen a new squeegee 25-50 times during it's useful life!!

Traditional Screen Printing Process

This has a dual benefit - the printing quality increases manifolds resulting in lesser wasted raw materials like paper and paper board. Sharpening also reduces ink-consumption by reducing the deposit. The benefits of this from a quality improvement point of view is a whole separate story altogether.

A small initiative goes a long way to help the environment.
